I realize that my first post was on 29 February 2020. And now, It has been 3 months later after that. Since Beginning March, I have been keeping busy to stay at home and trying for seeking a useful way to spend my time during social distancing—or I simply interested in forging a deeper connection with my home series of daily activities such as cooking and baking to make every minutes stay at home program more productive (and gratifying!).

The best part? I don’t need to spend much money for eating. Every day I keep busy to plan what meal I will cook and I love my kitchen. Let’s take a closer look at the gorgeous food that I have cooked :

And, now, It’s time to improve and Simplify My Quality of Life for A Happy Life. As we spend more time at home, the feel of optimism is ever more pertinent for our mental well being.

Hope you’ve enjoyed seeing the fun food that I have made in my home.

Wishing you a wonderful day ahead.

When I started my blog in 2009 I had an idea what I was doing. It used to be sharing my ex-job experience about correspondence and my hobbies. Yeah, its look like just about me… LOL Looking back on my journey there are so many things I wish I would do such as bought a self hosted web, however, I didn’t do that because I think it’s just okay using a free platform like Wordpress.com. The only thing I did just write something that made me happy. So I just started. At the time I had no idea what to expect. Did anyone read my blog? Does my blog look not professional? But, I don’t really care. I didn’t expect to fall in love with blogging the way I have. Since starting my blog, it’s just like my online diary. Actually, I have learned so many valuable lessons along the way but there are many things that I didn’t do. That’s okay for me even though it’s has been 10 years now, I will never give up, I will chase my dream.

12 Things I would do to make My blogging Time Useful

It’s important to know that I am not saying I need to have all of this done before I launch my hosted blog this February 2020. I’m okay to start my blog again and learn along the way. I will do all my best to make it come thru.

12 Things I would do to make My Blogging Time Useful

1. Be Organized: Time management is a key

When it comes to blogging, it’s so easy for me to get distracted. I knew that it takes a lot of self discipline to make blogging work. I have to make sure to schedule time for my blog. It’s never too late for me to having a schedule to follow and would make it easier to accomplish my blogging

2. Don’t give up on chosen strategies too soon

I’m trying to learn. I will try some expert online recipes. No time for me to give up on strategies too soon. I wish I knew how long it takes for strategies to work. I think may be a lot of us wished our strategies could bring overnight success but that’s just not possible. If I’m trying out a marketing strategy, give it time to work! Yes, I will do it.

And, I’m sure it takes time to grow my blog traffic! Give it time, I will be consistent with my strategy, and be proud of any bit of growth I see!

3. Choose SEO Tool or Pinterest Marketing that will bring us traffic the quickest?

Choose and practice. And, hope I will grow my Blog 🙂

4. Practice good SEO from the start

This is something I will learn and try.

a. Permalink Structure

I should make sure that my permalink structure is set up right by going to,

wordpress dashboard > site settings > permalinks.

 b. Keywords

I should remember when I start writing a new blog post figure out a few keywords and a long tail keyword I want my blog post to rank for. I will use those keywords throughout my blog post. These keywords should also appear in my meta description, (which I can edit with the YOAST plug-in), My headings (especially H2), permalink, blog title, and alt txt in images.

c. I Use YOAST as a guideline

I’m using YOAST as an SEO guideline. It recommends by almost blogger what I need to fix in my post in order for my post to rank higher in google searches. If I get a “green light” then my blog post is optimized well for the keyword I choose for it to rank for. It also allows me to edit my meta description. My meta description is what shows when I search on google. It’s my post title along with a description of what the post is about. I did install YOAST.

5. Finally, I start a shelf hosted WordPress blog

It’s so important to have a solid blog foundation, without it everything crumbles! So what do I mean by this? I previously started on WordPress.com I realized that it was very limiting and that I didn’t have complete ownership over my site. But, it’s okay for me because I enjoyed it previously. Then this year I learned about self hosting and finally after 10 years I transferred my site to Niagahoster. I have still learning to my SEO, monetize however I’d like, have complete ownership over my site, faster site speed, access to plug ins and so much more! Do yourself a favor and choose self hosting.

It might be difficult to learn the platform but once I do, it’s worth it. Love it!

After that, I choose simple theme and it’s free. Having a theme that’s easy to navigate not cluttered and professional is a perfect! Mine is Blacklite. You can also pay extra to have the theme.

6. I’m trying to use stock photos

In my opinion it depends on the purpose of the stock photo and the quality of the stock photo. Previously, I took my picture by myself. I knew about these stock photo membership sites!

I am going to learn 4 stock photo sites:

  1. Pixi stock
  2. Ivory Mix
  3. Styled Stock Society
  4. Canva
  5. Creative market

7. Pay attention to google analytics

I wish I knew how helpful google analytics is. It shows me so many different stats about my audience. From what they are most interested in, to their age, and even where they are from! But it can also show me when my audience seems to be most active, what blog posts are most popular, and more. Figure out what your audience likes and continue to create content they are drawn to.

8. Make money?

I started my blog April 2009 and in 2020 it is now I choose myself hosting niagahoster. Let the time flow.

9. Social media I choose

I use the same exact username as my blog to make it easier for people to search for me on social media.J

I love having a blog and do make sure to use all the free tools that are provided to me in order to help grow my blogs’ reach even more. Social media allows me to connect with my audience on a more personal level; furthermore it allows me to make connections with those who may not know my blog exists yet.

10. I will learn How Content marketing is

I need to market my blog post to generate the traffic. The best way to do this is by sharing my blog post to my social media.

11. I need to have a mailing list

The reason is I have a plan to publish an E-book. (My next project) 🙂

12. Be About It

Yes, I just want to be myself. Be creative, be creative and be creative.

I went into blogging with some expectations and if it doesn’t play out the way I expected it to, it’s just okay. I think that we must keep learning so that we can keep growing. There’s always more to learn! It’s also important to not let the learning overwhelm us. I will just take it day by day and learn a little at a time. Learn and enjoy it 🙂

I hope this post will helpful and encouraging! Especially for myself 🙂
